Meet Carolyn de Harne, BSN, MBA, RYT 300

Certified in Bikram 200 hour teacher training.

Certified Yoga Sculpt & Extensions, Vinyasa Flow  and  Advance Yoga Anatomy. 

Prior to creating live stream yoga classes, I taught at Bikram Hawaii Kai, The Oahu Club, Infinity Movement and the YWCA. My plan is to open a Hawaii Kai yoga studio in 2021 to support all levels of yoga practice.

I have extensive understanding of the human body and psyche. With my nursing background I aim to bring ease and mobility to the body, giving you added strength and flexibility you never thought you had.The road of yoga is endless - it all starts with a pose and a thought, and expands into a never-ending path of self discovery and growth. I value each and every person who joins my class and I look forward to helping you achieve your wellness goals.

Meet Dr. Melba Stetz

 Dr. Melba Stetz, was born in Puerto Rico and have been in fitness my whole life. My parents were in health (Sports Medicine Doctor, Dietitian) and I always “maxed my PT test”. In 2014, after 30 years as a Military Psychologist (prior service, combat veteran) my family and I (Tom and Victoria) retired in Kailua. 

Soon after surviving cancer (2017-2019) I decided to “come-back-to-life” by continuing motivating/ empowering others on living healthier and happier. 

My background includes: Zumba (Basic, Advanced, Toning, Gold, Chair), Cardio-kickboxing, and Yoga Sculpt. I also coach clients on Peak Performance via self-regulation/ biofeedback and teach Psychology (e.g., Military, Psychophysiology) for HPU. I am super excited to be a part of Yoga Hawaii Fitness! 

Meet Cecilia Malsom, MBA, RYT 200

I was born and raised in Mexico. I married my husband three years ago and we moved to the Black Hills of South Dakota, where we live now. We live in the country, where we have a little boy, he is almost two. We have eight buffalo, two dogs and four cats. I work in accounting for a hotel chain here in the hills and when we are not busy with work or life, we like hiking and exploring the Black Hills. I started practicing yoga 10 years ago and fell in love with the practice. Yoga helps me to relax my body, mind, and spirit, to be in peace, and to stretch my body. I am a new yoga instructor. I graduated from Yahweh Yoga, a school in Arizona, and am a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. Currently I am studying for certification in prenatal, postnatal, and mom and baby yoga. My styles are Christian Yoga, Vinyasa, and Gentle Yoga. I am very excited to be a part of  Yoga Hawaii Fitness and help students feel stronger, flexible and relaxed. Life is busy and in yoga you will find calm in the present moment.

Meet Brandy Drinkard RYT 500

Brandy is a compassionate and inspiring teacher brought to Hawaii in 2018, by the intentional nature of synchronicity. Her love for movement started in childhood with involvement in ballet, jazz and gymnastics and evolved in later years to competitive cheerleading as well as track and field.

After receiving a degree in education and years of teaching high school, Brandy then transitioned to private training and group fitness. Soon after, she was introduced to yoga and fell hard for the challenging nature of a power vinyasa practice, followed by the bliss of meditation.
In 2013, after practicing for years, Brandy traveled to Thailand for an intensive study in traditional yoga that only helped to stoke the quest for knowledge and understanding of this vast tradition. Since obtaining this 200-hour certification, she has also completed certifications in Acrovinyasa, Rocket Yoga and in 2017, graduated from a comprehensive 500-hour yoga course in Goa, India.

A zeal for life, love and learning are uniquely expressed through each moment of Brandy's classes. With seamless precision and play, she has found a way to combine the challenge of dynamic strength work with mindful movement.

Brandy believes in living an intentional life, stepping outside of what is comfortable and following your heart.
